Morning Group:

This week our lovely learners have been busy playing, sharing and taking turns.  The conversations children are having with their peers and adults is so lovely and enriches their learning.  Some have been busy using the building blocks to create trains, aeroplanes and castles, whilst others have been painting and creating their masterpieces. Learners have started toothbrushing in the nursery and are very good at recognising their brushes and using the timer when brushing.

We had a lovely moment this week when the music was on and some of the children picked up loose parts using them as guitars whilst others danced and watched. We also had the first session of our dance with Louise which all children really enjoyed as they warmed up and began learning the first dance moves.

Outdoors children enjoyed playing with the loose parts and helping the parent volunteers with clearing our garden space.

Afternoon Group:

In the afternoon, our lovely learners have continued to build relationships through chats, play and snack time. They have been busy working together through role playing and creating tracks for the cars by building the planks at different heights. It has been so nice as learners have enjoyed singing nursery rhymes and taking turns to pick them and then acting them out. We have begun toothbrushing in the nursery and learners have been amazing at identifying their own toothbrush.

Outdoors they continue to problem solve with their peers creating obstacle courses and supporting each other on their balancing and moving skills. They have enjoyed sharing stories outdoors, drawing and having fun in the sand!

Every day, Monday through to Thursday, children enjoy a varied snack. This week snack will be:

Monday –         Scrambled egg and toast

Tuesday –         Rhubarb and custard, oat biscuits

Wednesday –    Porridge with honey and raisins

Thursday –        Crackers, cream cheese and pineapple

Friday –              Bring own snack
