We are proud to announce we are a Gold Rights Respecting school. We have worked really hard in partnership with children and parents to achieve this. Here are some of the things which have contributed:
- South Morningside has a clear plan in place to ensure the sustainability of the excellent rights respecting practice at Gold level.
- We continue to ensure that rights are explicitly linked to the curriculum, activities and events
throughout the school year. - We continue to develop an ethos of inclusion and non-discrimination, providing opportunities to
explore and celebrate diversity in all its forms including race, gender, belief and different
kinds of families so that all people feel valued and included. - We continue to develop opportunities for children and young people to be at the heart of
decision-making, influencing and shaping the life and work of the school. - As a Gold Rights Respecting School, we develop an ambassadorial role, promoting the CRC
and the benefits of a child rights-based approach.
